Saturday, September 12th, 2020

Point Park Campus, Troy Centofanto, Director of Artistic Recruitment, will meet the families in Village Park (near the water feature) at 12:45 PM.  It is located on the corner of Wood St. and Blvd of the Allies.  The campus map is here:

On the map the location is "Urban Park at the Academic Village" for reference.

1:00PM-2:30PM Musical theatre master class with Zeva who is beloved by her students. She was ranked twice as Outstanding Teacher state-wide, listed in Who's Who Among American Teachers and named Outstanding Teacher by the senior class at Point Park two years in a row. She has trained under  some of the most influential directors from all over the globe, and as a professional performer garnered off-Broadway credits. Bring 2 one minute (or two 32 bar) songs of your choice and sheet music. Zeva will work with each student individually. Pianist will be provided. Bring headshot and resume stapled, and dress comfortably.

3:00PM-4:00PM - Tour Point Park University theatre/musical theatre department and info session, with Head of Musical Theatre, Zeva Barzell

10:00AM-11:30AM – Campus tour with Carnegie Mellon current musical theatre student. Meet in the lobby of the Purnell building.

Monologue Master Class with Andrew Smith

Andrew Smith, CMU Acting professor and audition auditor. Before joining the prestigious faculty at CMU in 2014, he taught and received his Masters in Acting at University of California, San Diego where he was honored with the Teaching Excellence Award. Carnegie Mellon is the oldest BFA in Drama in the nation, and since the acceptance rate for CMU is less than 1%, this class gives students the rare chance to work with one of the department's great acting teachers. You will come away enlightened and enriched. Bring 2 college audition monologues of your choice. Dress comfortably. Andrew will chose one monologue and work with each student individually, and give you adjustments and direction.

Andrew will save time at the end to answer your questions about the acting and music theatre programs AND THE CMU PRESCREEN
