Bring a headshot and resume and wear dance attire and jazz shoes or sneakers.
12:30-2p Lunch Break w/ current students
2-4p Song Audition Master Class w/ Kevin Covert + 10-minute individual vocal sessions with Matt Edwards
Bring 32-bar cuts of TWO of your musical theatre college audition songs and Kevin will choose one to work on. Bring sheet music for your cuts - a live accompanist will be provided. Bring a headshot and résumé and dress in nice casual, comfortable clothes.
During the masterclass, there will be 10-minute private vocal sessions with Matt Edwards.

Kevin Covert is an Associate Professor of Theatre, Director of Musical Theatre and Co-Chair of the Theatre Division at Shenandoah University, where the Musical Theater program is regarded as one of the Top 10 programs in the US. His students appear regularly on Broadway, National Tours, and in TV/Film. In addition to being a Broadway actor/singer/dancer, Kevin serves as one of Tony Award Winner Christopher Gattelli’s Associates working with him on the Broadway revival of “South Pacific” at the Lincoln Center as well as on “Emmet Otter”.
Matt Edwards is one of the leading voice teachers for commercial and musical theatre styles in the United States. He is currently an associate professor of voice and coordinator of musical theatre voice at Shenandoah Conservatory. He also serves as artistic director of the Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute, was awarded the Van Lawrence Fellowship, has served as a National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Intern Program master teacher and is a guest editor for the Journal of Voice
Shylo M. Martinez is an Associate Professor of Dance and Theatre at Shenandoah University. She serves as the Musical Theatre Dance Coordinator at Shenandoah Conservatory, with a BFA in Dance from NYU and an MFA in Choreography from Wilson College. Performance credits include: "Wicked", "Movin' Out", RADIO CITY CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR, Victoria in "Cats", "Finian's Rainbow", and "West Side Story". International credits include: "Cats" in Hamburg, Germany and "Movin' Out" in Tokyo, Japan. Motion Picture credits include: "Winter's Tale".
