Sunday, October 20th
9AM-Noon Walgreen Drama Center rehearsal room. Acting The Song Master Class, with Mark Madama, Associate Professor Of Musical Theatre, University Of Michigan.
Madama is adored by all of his students, and you’ll see why. His philosophy: singing a song well isn’t enough. To be great, you have to tell the story through your acting of the song. And that’s where Mark is the master. He has the ability to get right to the heart of the story of your song and help you discover it through the truth of our own life experience. It’s pretty powerful stuff. Mark will work with each student individually to build a scenario for acting the song. Get ready to take your singing to the next level!
Bring headshot and resume, pen and paper to take notes, 2 college audition songs (32 bar cuts) from Broadway musicals. Bring recorded tracks and a player. No live accompaniment provided.
Mark will answer your questions about the U Michigan program.
Parents are invited to observe the class.
Participation Fee is $450 (includes one parent)
