MASTER CLASS IN LOS ANGELES FOR MONOLOGUES
Sunday, December 18th, 2016, 2PM-5PM
Madilyn Clark Studios
10852 Burbank Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601
Barbara Mackenzie-Wood, Professor and official auditor, Carnegie Mellon School of Drama and Music Theatre
Carnegie Mellon is the oldest BFA in Drama in the nation, and Barbara is credited by many now-famous CMU grads as being “the person who taught me how to act”. An audition with Mackenzie-Wood is an experience you will never forget. Working with young actors is “her bliss” as she calls it, and since the acceptance rate for CMU is less than 1%, this may be your only chance to work with one of the great acting teachers. You will come away enlightened and enriched. She’s the real deal.
Bring 2 college audition monologues of your choice. One can be classical. Barbara will work with each student individually, and give you adjustments and direction, just like her CMU audition!
Wear your audition outfit. Bring headshot and resume, pen and paper to take notes. Parents are invited to observe at no cost, if there is room
Barbara will save time at the end to answer your questions about the acting and music theatre programs at CMU
