By now, everyone has heard of Texas State and their popular musical theatre BFA program. Many of you MT geeks know Kaitlin Hopkins as having originated the role of the mother in Bat Boy, for which she received a Drama Desk Award nomination. Kaitlin is also well known for her nurturing, hands-on approach. The stunning transformation she makes with students’ voices through her knowledge of singing technique and acting has prompted some to say she has “magical powers”. Come see for yourself. Bring sheet music for two 32-bar cuts of musical theatre songs. Live piano accompanist will be provided, so bring sheet music in the correct key with cuts clearly marked. Wear comfortable clothing. Bring headshot, resume and pen and paper to take notes.

Kaitlin will answer your questions about the program.
